Change
I read a quote the other day that has been on my mind continuously. I see it in every area of my life. In a world with therapeutic solutions like behavior and anger management, could it be simply this... "When you change your mind your emotions and actions change."
"For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." Proverbs 23:7 NKJV
I once believed I was a strong, confident woman who wasn't scared of anyone and could handle anything. I was actually very cold and angry towards people. Fake. Bitter most of the time. I hid very well under deep bible knowledge, humor and strength. But I was really a little girl who was scared, felt unloved, and didn't trust anyone. The Holy Spirit gently showed me that I actually was living and operating out of a broken mind. How did He change me?
"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of you mind."

God's word gives solutions to the root problem. I had to change my mind. I would spend hours searching His Word, listening for His voice. I had to agree with God and believe what His Word said, that He really does love me and can be trusted with every part of my life. I had to begin to see His love for me doesn't ever change. I had and have to renew my mind everyday with the truth of His Word.

I minister to a lot of young ladies who are victims of bad thinking. Some have been told they are worthless, only good for sex not love, stupid, ugly, you name it. When they act on this programming (with damaged emotions) they end up in all kinds of trouble. Many don't see a way out. The world offers them quick fixes (3 step programs and medications) but God offers an eternal solution, the mind of Christ. His very Spirit living inside of you to guide you in every situation. To transform your thinking assure you of His love, and change your life. God's gift, a new mind.
I write about what I know to be true. When I read the truth of God's Word and let it sink in, I change my mind. Without Jesus Christ, you can't change your mind. Without the Holy Spirit of God, you can't understand the truths of God. Without a change of mind, you cannot change your emotions or actions. Change your mind about God today!
